Erica M. Cona, B.S., Administrator
As the administrator of Opis Bridgeview Center, located in Central Florida, Erica is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of operations at the center. Erica began her career in long-term care as a receptionist while attending the University of Central Florida earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration. Erica became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2012.
Tina Conzelman, RN, Director of Nursing
Tina services as the Director of Nursing at Opis Bridgeview Center. She has been a nurse for twenty-five years with fifteen years in as a Director of Nursing in long-term care. Tina found her love for nursing when she and her son were involved in a car accident. She realized during this challenge in her life that she understood the medical field and knew that was what she was meant to do. Tina has previously received an award for Lowest Return to Hospitalization Rate while serving as a Director of Nursing. Tina feels caring and compassion are the foundation for combining the art and science of nursing to best serve our customers.
Robert G. Kaplan, MD, FACP, CMD
Robert G. Kaplan, MD, FACP, CMD is board certified in internal medicine with a CAQ in geriatrics and is a certified medical director. He has an extensive background in long-term care and serves as a multi-facility medical director and attending physician. He also recently assumed the position of associate medical director, Optum (formerly) Evercare, FL. He is currently president of the Florida Medical Directors Association. He is also a member of the American Medical Directors Certification Program Board, currently serving as vice-chairman. For the past several years he has been an AMDA faculty member teaching the core curriculum and assumed the position of course chair in January 2014. Dr. Kaplan is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, was a practicing internist for approximately 20 years, and is a former chairman of the department of medicine and medical staff president of South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, FL. A graduate of New York University and the University of Brussels School of Medicine, Dr. Kaplan completed his residency at the Genesee Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Melissa Potts, B.A., Admissions Director
As the admissions coordinator for Opis Bridgeview Center, Melissa is responsible for admitting customers into the center, whether it be for short-term care or long-term care. In her role, Melissa contacts families, assists in gathering information prior to admittance and ensures the proper documents are in order to provide a smooth transition for all admissions and their families. Customer service is her number one goal. Melissa is a Florida native and has over four years experience in long-term care. During college, Melissa volunteered with various assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in the greater Tampa area, graduating in 2012 with her Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Prior to her current role as admissions coordinator, she worked as a customer service representative for over eight years and also as an elder care manager for an elder law attorney in Volusia County, FL. Melissa is also a participating member of the Alzheimer’s Association.
